[x] Shock Value - Princess Azula & Storm

Princess Azula of the Fire Nation and Storm of the X-Men team up
...to fry up some chicken at the neighborhood BBQ. :P

Today's daily doodle brings together some two hot chicas with some electric personalities.
I was always a fan of this particular issue of Ultimate X-Men that featured Polaris in a kickass pose. I wanted to use that as a base for Azula's pose since I felt it best conveyed badass crazy without having to rely on a face - as is the style for this particular series of illustrations. Also, I broke my own style standards for this series with the lightning, making it far more intricate than any other flat shape used in the piece. It looks cool, though. Oh, well. What're you gun'do? :P

[x] Metal - Magneto & Toph

"You could say...I have a magnetic personality."

Okay, okay... I know that Data from Star Trek: Generations said that line, but it totally fits Magneto, amiright?! Anyway... Here's Magneto for the APE.2014 lineup.

Metallica... Metal Gear Solid... the puns are endless...

I added Toph to the image to continue the X-Men / Avatar mashup. :)

[x] Fire - Firelord Zuko & Sunfire

Firelord Zuko of the Fire Nation and Sunfire of the X-Men join together...
...to battle the evil forces of...moisture?

[x] Oh, my glob! Moon prism power?! - Sailor Moon & Lumpy Space Princess

The Sailor Scounts add a new space princess to their ranks...

Designed in Illustrator, touched up in Photoshop.
An illustration piece for a friend marrying two of his favorite shows together - Sailor Moon & Adventure Time

[x] Fairest of them all - The Queen

I blended some design elements from the film adaption of Snow White & the Huntsman (crappy movie, btw), because, let's face it: Charlize Theron fuckin' rocked at playing a crazy evil queen. Crazy's a good color on her, honestly.  Anyway, not satisfied with the design of the crown of the classic animated film, I took the live-action crown instead and added a few minor alterations to her queenly robes.

Anywhoo... it's food time now. Bye bye.

[x] Devil's Eye - Madame Medusa

This crazy, greedy biatch from Disney's The Rescuers is often overlooked when it comes to thinking of the badassest of badass Disney Villainesses. Like, seriously, she's willing to extort and even murder small children to achieve her end goal. That's...messed up.

[x] Bring Me Thy Bitches - Cruella De Vil

Okay... so I think I'm turning this into a series of truly fucked up, demented, crazy Disney Villainesses.
And Cruella definitely falls within that category of fucked up... I mean... c'mon... slaughtering and skinning cute aminal creatures for their fuzzy skins? That's pretty messed up.

I meshed together her classic design from the animated feature and the character designs done for Glenn Close in the live action rendition of 101 Dalmations.

[x] Under the Sea... - Ursula

To go with the Maleficent piece I did in my earlier post, I added Ursula.
Contrary to the straight lines of the Maleficent piece, I wanted to show an ethereal movement in the tentacles. I'd have to say the tentacles were the most exciting part of the piece.

[x] Once Upon a Dream... - Maleficent

A flat vector, paper-feel illustration of the most badass villainess of all the Disney animated films -

[x] Daily Doodle - Stitch & R2D2

Stitch & R2D2
Stich gives R2D2 his monthly maintenance overhaul.

With Disney and StarWars universes now brought together by the almighty dollar, it stands to reason that since Princess Leia can be considered a "Disney Princess" that Stitch would be one of the many aliens that R2D2 would befriend in his interstellar travels...

[x] Daily Doodle - Stitch & R2D2

Just a teaser for now of a sketch I'm refining into a digital painting... It's time for R2D2's quarterly maintenance and Stitch is more than happy to help out...with the Instructions Manual, of course.
