[x] Daily Doodle - Walkman

PLAY - STOP - REWIND - RECORD...

A logo concept for a friend's company. I almost think that, because it's a nostalgic walkman, it should be posted on a Throwback-Thursday or something... Heh.

[x] Daily Doodle - Superheroes

I want superpowers...

Some doodlings today... I was inspired by the dedication of many of my artists on the team; coupled with the continued work I'm doing on my Iron Giant vs Sentinel piece, I have come to realize that I miss doing comicbook-style illustration. It is, after all, my childhood inspiration - comic books. I remember being a wee lad and seeing ads for Joe Kubert's School of Comic Book Illustration and I remember telling my dad that when it came for me to go to college, that I wanted to go there.

Heh... Memories.

Anyway, I felt inspired today to do some superhero drawings/paintings. These are just the rough sketches. Anywhoo... back to doodlings and shit.

[x] Doodle... the Final Frontier...

Starship Sion - NCC 50379

A mixed media piece that originally started out as a watercolor for a friend's birthday.

[x] Layout Doodle

Mass produced...

A rough layout concept for the collaboration project with Matt and Renee. Managed to use the random pipes and wires drawing as a basis for this factory setting that Matt has for this story moment piece.

[x] Layout Doodle

In the jungle, the mighty jungle...

Working out some layout designs for a couple collaboration pieces with Renee and Matt.

[x] Doodle of the Day

As I was trying to generate some ideas for a collaboration project for this year's APE, I started to draw and let my hand just do its thang - which is apparently pipes, wires, and machinery... This doodle ended up consuming more of my time than I originally expected. :)

[x] Pre-production Bathroom Humor

Every project goes through a pre-production phase where things are mocked up quickly and concepts are generated to get a general idea across. When ChefVille was in its infancy two years ago (then under the assumption that it would be named CafeWorld 2 after its predecessor), I had mocked up one of the screens for the FTUE (First-Time User Experience) where a User would select his avatar's gender. I thought I was being...discreetly... and humorously inappropriate. But it really didn't take that long (not that I was hoping for it to slide by) for many to see what I had hidden. I elicited a good amount of laughs, but in the end, I had to change certain things to make the mockup presentable to the Pincus man.

Can you spot my inappropriateness? LOL. Oh, office fun.

[x] Phone Doodlings...

Nothing too incredible... randomly sketching some figure poses and working out the form of some manta rays whilst I chat on the phone with the significant other.
